HMD 2660 Flip Senior Edition Launches in the UK with AI Companion Mary
HMD Global introduced the 2660 Flip Senior Edition to the UK market, combining the familiar clamshell design of a classic flip phone with an integrated AI companion named Mary. Developed with inTouch, Mary offers seniors conversational support featuring simplified language, slower speech, and the ability to remember past interactions, enabling ongoing chats about various topics and memory games. Access to Mary is provided via a dedicated call button without the need for app downloads.
The device builds on the hardware of the earlier HMD 2660 Flip, featuring a 2.8-inch main display, 64MB RAM, 128MB storage, IP54-rated dust and splash resistance, Bluetooth 5.0, FM radio, and a rear camera.
Priced at £79.99, the phone includes five free hours of interaction with Mary. Continued use requires a subscription costing £16.90 per month, which is strictly opt-in without automatic renewal. If the subscription is not continued, Mary is disabled but the phone remains fully functional as a standard flip phone.
